BEV not vulnerable to the Heartbleed OpenSSL bug

You have probably seen news references to the "Heartbleed" vulnerability that has effected many secure web sites and other SSL-encrypted services. We have carefully reviewed our systems, and BEV services are not and have never been vulnerable to Heartbleed. VT Mainstage Theatre Series: Spring Awakening

The Virginia Tech Department of Theatre and Cinema presents Spring Awakening with book and lyrics by Steven Sater, music by Duncan Sheik, directed by Susanna Rinehart. "A famously hot-blooded musical." Winner of eight Tony Awards (including Best Musical), Spring Awakening was described by critics as, “Like nothing that has ever been heard on a Broadway stage.” The score and lyrics of this groundbreaking rock musical capture the excruciating and transcendent yearning, fear and frustration of newfound adolescent sexuality and rebellion against the backdrop of 19th century Germany. Blacksburg Farmer's Market

The Blacksburg Farmer's Market happens every week in Blacksburg Market Square (Saturdays only January - March, Wednesdays and Saturdays April - December). VT Center for the Arts, Artist Lecture: Kehinde Wiley

Among today’s most innovative and successful contemporary painters, Kehinde Wiley is known throughout the world for his vivid portraits of urban black male youth, recruiting his subjects from the metropolitan streets around the globe and portraying them in the heroic tradition of European old master paintings. In this first ever talk in Virginia, Wiley speaks about the scope and meaning of his work in what has been one of the most remarkable artistic careers of recent times. This free event is co-sponsored by the School of the Visual Arts with support from the Women and Minority Artists and Scholars Lecture series. New River Stage presents "The Odd Couple" female version

April 25, 2014 - May 4, 2014 time: 2:30 PM, 6:30 PM, or 7:30 PM (depending on the performance)

Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same. Performance dates are April 25-27 and May 2-4. Both Saturday night performances are dinner theaters and will include a full catered meal before the show. All performances will take place at Warm Hearth's Village Center.
